Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is best known for her roles as a lead actress in many television series however, she also has impressive roles in films. Her fan base is large both on American and Canadian television. Emily began acting at 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's film productions. Once she had discovered that acting was a passion, Emily began to learn how to act as well as attend auditions. The first time she was cast, she appeared in a couple of commercials before being offered a role on the Canadian children's horror television show Are You Fearful of Darkness? where she was seen in just one scene without any dialog. When she was 15years old, Emily had her biggest breakthrough when she became a regular of the WB TV program Glory Days. Emily's acting attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti, despite the fact that the show ended after just nine episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular character on Everwood. Emily is also a professional dancer, a photographer and was named as among the top 20 Teen's actresses. Maxim listed her at 51 on its Hot 100 of 2014.
