One child was strapped onto my back as one crawled inside the playpen. I worked 12 hour days, for months, sanding and stripping wallpaper while carrying one kid. Ha! All was starting to form, but it wasn't quite finished. This was going take money, effort, and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. To keep my budget in good shape, I went out with my 3 boys looking for deals at estate sales. The routine we had for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage and estate sales, buying vintage and modern pieces, as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. It was a bit like this... That's when my interest in the restoration of furniture first began. No matter what, the home was furnished. There was a spot at the local markets in which I sold my items. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't have a clue what to do with them and outgrew the space. Open houses were held in my home where one 000 people could visit over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the first level. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was booming and my family was also expanding. It was like I had found the perfect equilibrium between motherhood as well as starting my own venture. Growing Days was the obvious decision. Nora joined us in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My company was doing well but I wanted a rest. I took some time away from the old furniture in order to spend some quality time with my family. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. It rang once more after a while. I was getting calls from people asking for help with the interior decoration and remodeling. A majority of them came into my residence during my furniture open houses. Once I had a few months I began to take on customers at my pace. Soon I had numerous accounts as well as a home renovations company. You would probably have amused me if I had told you that this would become the basis of an DIY Network tv series. In fact, I laugh at times when I think of the story.
